Pin-Up Girls Series ~ Cougar

I love the dramatic feel of this card.  The large sentiment cut is from Word of Mouth.  It drove how I selected the other embellishments.

The bust is cut from the Cricut cartridge French Manor.

I used black seam binding, an antique button, and added a few sewing lines for embellishments.

Cougar: She has a fear of aging.

Pin-Up Girls Series ~ Diva

"The term powder room dates back to the early 18th century, when it was used to refer to a closet-sized room where people went to have their wigs repowdered. The expression carried through to Victorian times, when any reference to personal bodily functions was considered indelicate. Ladies of the era were embarrassed to speak of such things and would excuse themselves from mixed company to go to “powder their noses.” In fact, many women still use refer to a public ladies’ room as a powder room".

I for one, still use this term.  I must be a "lady"!  =P

I added lots of "bling".

I picked Diva to go with this card because a Diva has to get ready somewhere, right? 

Diva: She craves the bling.

Pin-Up Girls Series ~ Glamourious

Welcome back!  For this card, I used cuts from the Cricut cartridge French Manor.  I added some black seam binding, antique buttons and some froufrou ribbon.  I also added a cut to the inside of the card to complete the theme.

Pin-Up Girls Series ~ Vixen

Here is the second card in my vintage pin-up girl series.  I used the Cricut Cartridge Girl's Makeup Party to cut the mirror and French Manor to cut the sofa. 



All the pattern paper I am using in this series is from a paper pad by Crafty Secrets titled Classic Paper Designs. The solid cardstock is mostly Stampin' Up! with a few other brands here and there. 

I used black seam binding for my first ribbon layer topped with a small bow made from WebstersPages ribbon.  I also embossed the mirror with a cuttlebug folder.

The inside reads Vixen: She is irresistible to men.

I scraplifted my layout from this "Brilliant" scrapbook page by Jana Eubank. I loved the colors and the hand embellishments - sewing and the outlining in white. This page inspired me as soon as I saw it. Thanks Jana!

The sponsor products I selected were from creating Keepsakes and Imaginisce. The pink camo paper, pink ribbon and fabric flowers are creating Keepsakes. The rhinestones are Imaginisce. My cuts include the frame from French Manor and the phrases and rose from Hannah Montana. The pictures are of me, my Mom and my sister on our "girls only" cruise. What fun we had!

Circle Blog Weekly Challenge #1 - French Manor

Here is my entry to the first Circle Blog Challenge. We were challenged to use atleast two cuts from the exclusive French Manor cart and use pearls or gems. I used very tiny pearls as the bird's eye and in the A of the Amore phrase.
