My Pinkalicious Blog Hop Friday ~ November

Welcome to this month's Pinkalicious Blog Hop hosted by Robyn at My Pink Stamper!  This month we were challenged to use Robyn's latest stamp releases in a mini album or a scrapbook page.  Since I have SO many photos that need scrappin', I decided on a layout:

Materials Used:
  • Imagine Cartridge "Better Together"
  • My Pink Stamper "Flowers & Friendship" stamp set
  • Core'dinations cardstock
  • Pop dots
  • Stampin' Up Black classic ink
  • Stampin' Up Black journaling marker
  • White Gelly Roll pen
This layout is super easy if you have an Imagine.  I started off by printing and cutting the first layer (scene) of the image on page 10 of Better Together @ fit to page.  Next, I cut all the layers of the girl/dog image on page 20 @ 4.5" relative.    I then compared the images to my Core'dinations paper stack to see which colors matched up best.  What I like about Core'dinations paper is that it adds texture to your project.  You can leave it as is, like I did in my layout, and it still has a textured look and feel.  In addition, you can emboss it for added depth and design, you can tear it, sand it, just do about anything you would like to it to give it a different look.  It also cuts well in my Cricut machines.
Once I had all my images added to the base cardstock, I decided on size and picture placement.  I used two 4x6 rectangles, rounded the edges, and adhered them to my page.  I chose my sentiment from My Pink Stamper's Flowers & Friendship stamp set and stamped it right onto the scene layer. It can be ordered HERE.  Lastly, I added hand stitching and doodles to complete the page.

To thank you for hopping along with us, I am giving away a Core'dinations kit:

This kit includes one 6x6 paper pack in Mod.  It has 80 sheets!  Also included is a sanding gadget and refills so you too, can try  adding more texture to your projects.
To win, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post.  I will use Random.org to choose a winner on Tuesday, November 15.  Be sure to come back and visit to see if you have won!  =)

I hope you are enjoying yourself thus far.  Your next stop on the hop is with Angela.

In case you just joined us, please feel free to start at the beginning.  You won't want to miss any of the talented designers!  ;)

Flowers and Friendship ~ My Pink Stamper Stamp Release

Yea!  Robyn at My Pink Stamper has released her latest set of stamps!  Many of the stamps are the all occasion stamps you have been looking for.  She will be featuring them all week so be sure to visit daily to see samples of what you can create with them.

This friendship card was made using the Imagine cartridge Better Together.  I started off with my base cardstock from Stampin' Up in Pacific Point.  I can't believe how perfectly it matched the blue in the image I had chosen!  I then selected the pink and ivory layers from the image on page 3 cut @ 4" relative.  I wrapped the ivory layer in Stampin' Up 1/2" polka dot Melon Mambo ribbon and then added both layers to the base.  The women images I used can be found on page 17.  I used the combined image (no layers) cut at 3.5" and adhered to the card on top of the ribbon.  I then ticket punched the corners of my card and faux stiched the edge in black to mimic the Imagine image.  I finished the card with the perfect sentiment from Flowers and Friendship stamped in SU Melon Mambo.  Thanks for looking!  Robyn's stamps can be purchased from HERE.

SO EXCITED!

I am SO excited to be added to the My Pink Stamper design team!  I know that Robyn, Karlee and Maria had such a tough decision to make with all the great entries!  I am truly thankful that they selected my card.  Daily, I am inspired by my fellow crafters and know that you all have had an influence on my work!  I hope to continue my love for paper crafting on the design team and maybe along the way, inspire you!

This is the layout I created to scrap the occasion:

All the cuts and paper are from the Imagine cartridge "Better Together".  This layout would also work for an engagement, pregnancy announcement, or award ceremony.

Thank you once more to the My Pink Designer team!  I look forward to creating with you!
