Moochas gracias

I was inspired to create this card from my scrappin friend Maria.  She created a similar card for me and I just loved it!  Here is my version:

More "Around the Corner"

• My Pink Stamper Around the Corner stamp set
• Anna Griffin All Occasion Card Making Kit
• Color Box Gold pigment stamp pad
• Gold embossing powder
• Buttercup liquid pearls
• Zutter 1/2" corner punch

I received several inquiries on how I made (materials used) the cards from My Pink Stamper's Around the Corner release post.  The bulk of the materials are from a card making kit by Anna Griffin.  It comes with cardstock card, layered cardstock already cut to size to layer with, layered stickers to match, 3 different colored bows, and pop dots.  I have been dressing mine up by inking edges, adding different ribbon, and using other embellishments (I know, I just cant seem to leave well enough alone).  You can see other cards made form this kit by clicking HERE.  Hope this answers your questions.  :)

More Flowers and Friendship

Here is another sample created from My Pink Stamper's new release "More Flowers and Friendship".



The middle of the flower is actually a package of hair ties!  The flower is created and welded from several cartridges to include Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art, George and Basic Shapes and Gypsy Wanderings.  The butterfly is cut from Gypsy Wanderings.

A Simple Sympathy Card

Our next Cricut Circle blogiversary challenge:

The Challenge: Create a project of your choice using a monochromatic color scheme. Your project must include atleast 2 different Cricut Image Cuts.

I broke out my new Cricut Cartridge Phrases to make this card.  I figured that I wanted the wording to be the  key subject of the card and this cartridge is perfect for that.  I also used some hand dyed seam binding that I made earlier this week. 

HSN Contest Banner #2

Here is banner #2 for the HSN contest highlighted in yesterday's post:

I used the banner template I created for the birth of my daughter earlier this year.  I added some more elements to it to make it more "shabby" and 3D.  I thought I was overdoing it, but in retrospect, I think I should have added some more cuts.  I am hoping to see it on TV Sunday night.  =)

Bridal Shower Journal and Thank You Cards

Do you ever find yourself running out of time?  I know I do and I don't always have time to create oodles of handmade cards.  Here's a quick way to step up store bought thank you cards by adding a cricut cut and an embellishment:

I added the cricut cut of the bride from the cartridge Wrap It Up both to the inside of the card and the front of the envelope.  I then added a strand of ribbon with a simple knot tie.  Super simple, super fast, and super looking compared to the plain thank you card.

I also made a gift journal for my stepdaughter to keep track of presents and cards she receives.  The front and back cover are cut from the cartridge Wrap It Up utilizing the card selection.  I dolled it up by adding a pearl embellishment and ribbon ties to the the rings once I  bound it together using my Bind It All.

I added her initials "to be" on the inside front cover using the cartridge Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art and stamped the inside pages with a journaling stamp so that she may write in the gifts as she receives them. I also added three tabs - bridal shower, bachelorette, and wedding.  Then, all she has to do is check off the boxes once she sends a thank you card. Hopefully this will help keep her organized and simplify the process for her.
