Teen Scene Swap Sneek Peek # 2

I did it!  I finished all 17 sets of 20 Teen Scene dolls each!  I want to go back and add some shading and embellishing, but wanted to ensure I could get through creating them first.

I am so happy that I won't be seeing these piles anymore.  I think this was my fourth one???  In addition to going through 3 mats and 3 blades...whew!!!

The sort has begun!
The dolls are all SO amazing!  I want to share a very special gift that one of my Circle sisters made me:

Gina Piazza at Ginaballoons (Imagination Arts) created this 3-D box for me to keep all my Teen Scene dolls in!  I am just FLOORED by her talent and generosity!  I LOVE IT!  Gina has so many amazing projects on her blog.  I encourage you to take a peek and be amazed!  Thank you Gina!  You not only made my day, but you made my week!

My Pinkalicious Blog Hop ~ June 2012

Welcome to this month's blog hop showcasing My Pink Stamper's latest and greatest image stamp release: Yankee Doodles.  This stamp set has so many fun images to play with and can be bought exclusively at Shop Pumpkin Spice.  You should have reached here from Shelley's blog and if you just joined us, please start at the beginning at Robyn's blog so that you don't miss any of the great projects featuring this stamp set.

For my project, I created a glass charm set:

Materials Used:
  • Shrinky Dinks
  • My Pink Stamper Yankee Doodles stamp set/kit
  • Stazon Jet black ink
  • Promarkers in Royal Blue, Red and Gold
  • Misc beads and jewelry fundamentals
I started off the project using Shrinky Dinks in Bright White.

Next, I cut my images to stamp on.  I used the FREE Cricut digital cart - Cricut Craft Room Basics.  I cut the Shrinky Dinks material in my mini at full pressure, speed, and multi-cut 3.

I then stamped my images from the My Pink Stamper Yankee-Doodles stamp set with Stazon ink.

Time to color!  I used Promarkers Royal Blue, Red and Gold found in this months Pumpkin Spice kit.

The last preparation step is to punch holes in the Shriky Dinks PRIOR to going in the oven.  I used a standard hole punch which leaves a perfectly sized hole to attach with once it is baked.  Baking them is super easy and fast.  Simply bake in a 325 degree oven for 1-3 minutes.  They cool almost immediately and are then ready to be used.
And here they are completed:

I think this will make a fun and unique hostess gift.  Want to try this yourself?  Here are my craft files:

What I have been working on...

Sorry I haven't been posting too much lately.  I am swamped in swaps that I have been working on.  Here is a preview of the Cricut Paperdolls Teen Scene Swap I am hosting.  I will probably run a week long series on the completed dolls, so keep your eye out for them!  =)

Free Father's Day Digital Cards until June 19th!

Did you see?  Cricut.com has added 5 digital Father's Day Cards free for your use until June 19th!

And here are the samples:

And my version:
For this card, I only added a photo corner to the top left and inside bottom corners, a tab with the negative letters from the card to spell DAD, two gold brads and inked the card in Tim Holtz Vintage photo distress ink.

And a card I made:
The card was really fast to make because the image takes up so much room. There is not a lot of room for embellishing but I think that's alright because you don't want to get too froufrou with a man's card. For mine, I added gold brads to the nail heads and inked the card with Tim Holtz distress ink in Vintage Photo. I think some ruler or measuring tape ribbon would look good on it also.

Here is a quick Father's Day gift I made for my Dad from the kiddos.  It's a ribbon/rosette with matching card that he can pin to his clothes or display for Father's Day.

I didn't like the "My Old Man" sentiment, so I jsut covered it.  You could also cut that title off if you don't like it either.

I used the Cricut cartridge Ribbons and Rosettes to create the matching ribbon rosette.

They are automatically there when you log into your CCR account.  =)

Happy crafting!

Welcome Little One ~ Baby Girl

Here is a baby wreath I made for a friend awaiting the birth of her baby girl.

Materials Used:
  • Cricut cartridge Everyday Pop-Up Cards
  • Imagine cartridges Nursery Tails and Blossom
  • Making Memories Finished Large Baby Girl Bravissimo
  • 12" plastifoam wreath
  • Kirkland pastel ribbon
  • Hug Snug seam binding
  • White toile
  • Pink linen thread
  • Half Pearls
  • Clear buttons
  • Pearl corsage pins
It's super simple to create.  First, cover your wreath by wrapping your selected ribbon until completely covered.  I also added a wrapping of white tulle to match my selected Bravissimo ribbon.  Once I finished wrapping the wreath, I left a loop before tying the end so that I could hang it.  Next, I added my Welcome Little One Bravissimo ribbon (how easy is that?).  Lastly, I added my final complimenting cuts and embellishments and voila...your done!
