More Flowers and Friendship

Here is another sample created from My Pink Stamper's new release "More Flowers and Friendship".

The middle of the flower is actually a package of hair ties!  The flower is created and welded from several cartridges to include Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art, George and Basic Shapes and Gypsy Wanderings.  The butterfly is cut from Gypsy Wanderings.

I "heart" Ewe!

Here's a treat holder I made using the stamp set "Lunchbox Thoughts" by Robyn at My Pink Stamper:

I created the holder from the Cricut cartridge Spring Cards cut at fit to page.  The cartridge has several inserts to choose from, but I thought the I you was perfect along with the "Love, Mom" sentiment to gift a little something to my little one's.  Actually, it's the perfect size for a Pop Tart!  :)

The design paper is DCWV, the cardstock, ink and embellishment all are from Stampin' Up.

More Lunchbox Thoughts

I love the new stamp set Lunchbox Thoughts by Robyn at My Pink Stamper.  There are so many sayings to create such cute, fun, and fast cards.  This is an example of a note card I made:

The card base is a square cut at 4.0" x 4.0".  I added a 1.0" x 4.0" rectangle wrapped in kraft twine to the bottom once I edged it and the base in Stampin' Up Crumb Cake ink.  Next, I cut my lunchbox and all it's layers from Cricut Cartridge Campin' Critters all at 3.25".  I inked all the edges and added it to my card.  Last, but not least, I stamped my sentiment "enjoy your LUNCH" in the same ink ink.  Easy!

Yummy!  This card was created using a stamp from the new stamp set Lunchbox Thoughts by Robyn at My Pink Stamper.

This stamp set is just perfect to slip in a little special note to your loved ones.  Many of the sayings reinforce positive messages and let that special someone know that you care!

The card was also created using the Cricut cartridge Campin' Critters. 
  • Card Base cut @ 8.25" x 4.96"
  • Card Layer cut @ 3.68" x 4.33 " x2 (one for the inside)
  • Bear and all it's layers cut at 2.76"
I simply outlined the card layer with holes for it's embellishment.

Have a "Shabby" Halloween! ~ Halloween Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to our Halloween blog hop! We have several talented ladies who will be sharing fun Halloween projects with you today, to hopefully inspire you to create some Halloween crafts of your own! For this hop, I created what I consider to be shabby chic Halloween decor:

These candle holders were super easy to make. Once I selected my papers, I cut coordinating images for each bottle and edged them in black.  The Witches Brew includes cuts from Happy Hauntings and October 31.  The Potion bottle includes cuts from October 31st & Pumpkin Carvings.   They both sit upon my faux lace, spider web mat created from Pumpkin Carvings.  To continue the  shabby chic look, I added chunky glitter to several of the cuts to include the bat, witch, moon and wolf.  I also wrapped the bottles with very feminine bows and ties and added black blingage to each bottle.  Lastly, I added the candles and voila, the look is complete.

My Pink Stamper Design Team Day!

Hurray!   Today is October's My Pink Stamper Design Team Day - Christmas cards!  This month we were challenged to create a Christmas card with either Winter Treats & Sayings or Biggie Christmas.  I chose Winter Treats & Sayings to create a hand deliverable Christmas card/treat.  I know what you are thinking...I can't just keep it simple, can I?  =)

In my defense, I would like to state that making this card/treat holder is quite simple due to the Imagine. 
Materials used:
  • Imagine Snow Angel cartridge
  • Cricut Sweet Tooth Boxes
  • My Pink Stamper Winter Treats & Sayings
  • Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip ink
  • Ranger distress ink in Forest Moss
  • Hand dyed ribbon
  • Pop up dots
First, I chose a box from Sweet Tooth Boxes (page 61 cut @ 8.0"), a lid (page 62 & 63 cut @ 8.0" relative) and the tag (page 60 cut @ 8.0" relative). There are actually 3 lids to choose from for this particular box.  I chose c, the open scalloped lid.  Next I chose three coordinating patterns from Snow Angel to flood fill the box pieces with (pages 34 & 40).  Once the pieces were printed and cut, I simply assembled them and edged them in the Forest Moss distress ink.   I added a square piece of  acrylic to window on the inside of the box.  Next, I added coordinating paper shred and my treat, covered it with the lid and tied it with hand dyed ribbon in two coordinating colors to hold the tag and keep the box closed.  I stamped my sentiment "May Your Holidays be Sweetened with Love" in Stampin' Up's Chocolate Chip ink.  Lastly, I cut the deer/bird image layers from Snow Angel (page 15) cut @ 2.0", inked them in the Forest Moss, and pop dotted them to the box.
That's it! A "sweet" way to hand deliver your winter wishes to those close by.

Flowers and Friendship ~ My Pink Stamper Stamp Release

Yea!  Robyn at My Pink Stamper has released her latest set of stamps!  Many of the stamps are the all occasion stamps you have been looking for.  She will be featuring them all week so be sure to visit daily to see samples of what you can create with them.

This friendship card was made using the Imagine cartridge Better Together.  I started off with my base cardstock from Stampin' Up in Pacific Point.  I can't believe how perfectly it matched the blue in the image I had chosen!  I then selected the pink and ivory layers from the image on page 3 cut @ 4" relative.  I wrapped the ivory layer in Stampin' Up 1/2" polka dot Melon Mambo ribbon and then added both layers to the base.  The women images I used can be found on page 17.  I used the combined image (no layers) cut at 3.5" and adhered to the card on top of the ribbon.  I then ticket punched the corners of my card and faux stiched the edge in black to mimic the Imagine image.  I finished the card with the perfect sentiment from Flowers and Friendship stamped in SU Melon Mambo.  Thanks for looking!  Robyn's stamps can be purchased from HERE.

You're Berry Special ~ 5th Pie in the Series

Hi Everyone.  I am super busy again, but wanted to get on to share today's pie slice:  Strawberry!

Now I know that making the 3D strawberries is nothing new, but maybe it's new to making them into a pie slice!  =)  I used THIS tutorial to make my strawberries and this pic as my inspiration:

My whip cream is the same cuts from the pumpkin pie.  I simply didn't use all the layers and used the technique of turning them upside down to burnish them to give them dimension.

Apple of my Eye ~ Pie Series

Hi Everyone!  I am so sorry if you came by earlier to see the next pie in the series.  The wee ones needed my attention.  Not to worry, I am back  on track!  Today/tonight's post is apple pie:

Materials Used:
  • My Pink Stamper Fruit and Veggie Puns stamp set
  • Cricut cartridges Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, George and Basic Shapes, Fabulous Finds, and Preserves.
  • Stampin' Up Barely Banana, So Saffron, Naturals Ivory and Early Espresso
  • Stampin' Up 1 1/4 grosgrain ribbon in Early Espresso
  • Stampin' Up ink in Early Espresso and Crumb Cake
  • Stampin' Up Rich Regals brads
The crust on this pie is pretty simple, but it's how they usually look in reality. I added a apple crust shape to the crust.  Some bakers do this and I think it looks super cute when they do.  I achieved the dimension on the crust by turning it backside up and rubbing it with the end of  a tool on a mat.  I also inked the top so the crevices would show better.

The apples are all inked differently to create variety.  I cut them approximately in half at different angles to again achieve variety.  I sponged the pie base and apple pieces in Crumb Cake ink to mimic cinnamon.  I then added them to the pie base in different positions and layers.  Lastly, I inked my sentiment and added it to the pie.

A Cherry Hello! ~ Pie Series

Here is my third installment to this week's pie series, a cherry pie slice:

Materials Used:
  • My Pink Stamper Fruit and Veggie Puns stamp set
  • Cricut cartridges Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, George and Basic Shapes, Fabulous Finds, Cherry Limeaide and Preserves.
  • Stampin' Up Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Naturals Ivory, Early Espresso and Garden Green cardstock
  • Stampin' Up 1 1/4 grosgrain ribbon in Real Red
  • Stampin' Up ink in Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler
  • Stampin' Up Brights brads
This one takes a few more steps to put together, but  I think the end result is worth it.  Don't forget that the base for the pie and crust can be found in the pumpkin pie file.

I inked the edges of all the strips for more of a baked look.  Then, using the pie crust top base as a template, weave the strips onto it and adhere.

Once adhered, turn it around to the back side.  It should look like this.
Cut the sides following the template.

Glue the cherry pieces haphazardly onto the two sides of the pie.  Run your ribbon through the holes and adhere the box together.  I tied my ribbon next and then added the top layer of the crust to the box.  I then stamped my sentiment to the already cut tag, added the brads and adhered it to the top crust.  Lastly, I pieced together my cherry stem, rubbed the backside with the bottom of a pen on a mat for dimension, flipped it back to the top and adhered it to the top crust. 

My Gypsy File:

In my Gypsy file, the first tab says "with CLA".  This is for crafters that have the cartridge Cherry Limeaide.  I made my cherries for the inside of the pie with this cartridge.  If you don't have Cherry Limeaide, I also added a tab that says "with GBS".  You would use this tab to make the cherries using George and Basic Shapes.  The cherries don't have as much detail, but it gets the job done.  =)

The tag is made using Fabulous Finds and the cherry stem using Preserves.  If you don't have these cartridges, I included a stem cut from Gypsy Wanderings and you can cut your pick for a tag.

Celebrating PIE Week!

I don't know about you, but one thing I love about holiday food are the PIE's!  To share this love with you, I decided I would make this week "Celebrate PIE Week" on my blog.  I actually kicked off the celebration with a pumpkin pie slice on Friday night's Pinkalicious Blog Hop.  The Gypsy file base for all the pies shared this week can be found on that post HERE.  You also have the rest of today to enter to win a free regular blog makeover by CHATTERSCENE  just by leaving a comment on that post!  She is super reasonable and does a fantastic job!

The next pie in the series is a pecan pie slice!

Now, I know some people don't eat pumpkin pie with whip cream, so you can always leave it off.

Materials Used:
  • My Pink Stamper Punny-licious stamp set
  • Cricut cartridges Tags, Bags, Boxes and More, George and Basic Shapes, and Fabulous Finds
  • Stampin' Up Creamy Caramel, Naturals Ivory, Early Espresso and Chocolate Chip cardstock
  • Stampin' Up 1 1/4 grosgrain ribbon in Chocolate Chip
  • Stampin' Up ink in Early Espresso, Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake
  • Stampin' Up gold brads
  • Stampin' Up Vanilla hodgepodge hardware
  • Stampin' Up Smooch Spritz in Vanilla Shimmer
A helpful hint when putting your treat box together is to run the ribbon through the holes before you adhere the box.

I used two different base colors for my pecans to mimic the variety you actually get in real pecans.  I added them AFTER I put the box together, but you could also do it before.  The only pecan I needed to trim was the at the point (what would be the center of an actual pie).  I placed my pecans haphazardly because that's how I make mine, but I know that some people like to line theirs up.  The great thing about this file, is that they are individual pieces, so you can make it personal by arranging them how you like them to be.

I used the same tag cuts found in the pumpkin pie file for the whip cream but used a different technique to achieve a different look:

I sprayed all the cuts with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.

I then crumpled all the pieces into tight balls.

I uncrumpled the balls.

I layered them together from largest to smallest with a brad.

Cricut Circle Blogiversary Challenge: Sketch

The Challenge: Create a project of your choice using the sketch below. Your project must include atleast 2 different Cricut Image Cuts.

This one was a hard one!  I thought and thought about it until I finally decided to create a scrapbook page.  The cartridges used were Simply Scarecrows and Happy Hauntings for the frame.  I am not in love with it, but I guess you can't love them ALL...  ;)

My Pink Stamper October Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!  I am so glad you could join us for this month's My Pink Stamper Blog Hop.  This month we were challenged to create a treat or goodie bag.  Being that the holidays are just around the corner, I thought creating slices of pie was a perfect project:

Materials Used:
  • My Pink Stamper Sweet Goodness stamp set
  • Cricut cartridges Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and George and Basic Shapes
  • Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie, Naturals Ivory, and Whisper White cardstock
  • Stampin' Up 1 1/4 grosgrain ribbon in Pumpkin Pie
  • Stampin' Up ink in Early Espresso
  • Stampin' Up Vanilla hodgepodge hardware
I created the treat box using the cartridges Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and George and Basic Shapes.  Utilizing my Gypsy, I welded shapes to create the crust of the pie.

 I also used a tag shape to create the layers for the whip cream with the hole hidden using the hide/contour feature.

Fold the flowers in half at each dip.

Layer from the largest to the smallest and pin together with a brad.

Fold up all of the layers.

Gently pull the layers down starting with the bottom until the desired look is acheived.

Voila!  Whip cream!
