Butterfly Frames

Here are some mini framed art pieces I created using the Imagine cartridge Lor's Garden.

Materials Used:
  • Imagine cartridge Lori's Garden
  • Cuttlebug embossing folder damask
  • White cardstock
  • Glitter cardstock in pink and iridescent
  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Worn Lipstick and Broken China
  • Stampin' Up! Pool Party seam binding ribbon
  • Coordinating pink ribbon from my stash
  • Misc coordinating rhinestones
  • Misc coordinating hat pins
I purchased the frames in a 2-pk from Target to house my images in, removing the glass.  I hand cut the base layer of the frames with coordinating glitter cardstock (also purchased at Target for $.99 for two sheets).   I then printed and cut my images from the Imagine cartridge Lori's Garden. Next, I hand cut slightly smaller, embossed, and inked the edges of the white word background.  I wrapped each word layer with coordinating seam binding ribbon, creating a bow to the edge and pop dotted them on to the glitter layers.  I assembled my butterflies, inking the edges and pop dotting the layers as I added them and glued them to the white layer.  I completed the frames by adding rhinestones to the butterflies and a coordinating hat pin to each ribbon bow.
