For this blog hop I have created a Take Out Menu Holder! This holder can be used to house take out menus from all your favorite restaurants. An alternate idea is to change up the cuts and create a holder for your receipts. The end product is super cute, pretty sturdy, and economical. They would make great Christmas presents for your children's teachers or for anyone who is on a budget. You can even include a gift card to a restaurant (for the menu) or to a store (for the receipt holder) if you were gifting this and wanted to add a little extra something.

Materials used:
White 2-pocket folder
9 different coordinating 12x12 patterned papers (5 if they are front and back)
Kate's Kitchen Imagine cartridge by Cosmo Cricket
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder
One 8 1/4" x 3" pieces of coordinating card stock
Small note pad
Extra large paper clip
Small coordinating button
Coordinating ribbon: 3 colors 4-5" long, one ribbon 24" long
Metal place setting embellishments
Coordinating library clip
Coordinating ink (I used Ranger Forest Moss)
Pop-up dots
Misc adhesives

| Open the folder and fold the two pockets inward, evenly to the middle. |
 |
| Use a bone folder to create a sharp edge. |
 |
| The folder should fold like this. |
 |
| Open the folder all the way up and ink all the edges at least 1/4" in. No more then 1/2 inch of inking is needed. |
 |
| Ink the back of the folder as well. |
 |
| Here are the papers I selected. I printed all of them from the Imagine cartridge "Kate's Kitchen". Aren't they all so fun and cheery looking? |

Cut the following pieces from the DSP:
4 different pieces @ 4.75" x 4.5" (bottom sections of inside folder)
4 different pieces @ 7.25" x 4.5" (top sections of inside folder)
4 different pieces @ 1.5" x 4.5" (lip of bottom sections)
3 different pieces @ 11.5" x 4.5" (back of folder)
2 different pieces @ 11.5" x 2.25" (front of folder)
1 piece @ 3/4" x 3" (bottom lip of notebook)
I find it easiest to cut a 4.5" wide piece first, then cut off the 4.75" piece. If there are any imperfections in your cutting or in the measurements of the original paper, it will be hidden, because the resulting left over piece measures to the 7.25" piece you need for the inside tops. This piece will actually fall below the folder pockets as seen in the photo. Once all your pieces are cut, move them around until you decide on your final placement selection. Again, when adhering the 7.25" x 4.5" (top sections of inside folder), the pocket should overlap this section. *** BONUS: The left over dsp can create a second menu holder with most of the cuts already done! You just need to double the image cuts and embellishments.

| Adhere your image selections. Ensure your ribbon (24" piece) is centered and adhered to the front BEFORE you add any images. This is the only section of the ribbon that will be adhered to the menu. As you look at the last few photos, you will see that I embossed a few images using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder throughout the holder to give it some subtle texture. |

| This is the inside of the folder completed with all the images and embellishments added. Take the 3 smaller pieces of ribbon and tie them in a knot at the top of the paper clip. Add the library clip to whichever section you like. |

| Each of the bottom inside images were cut at 2". I left the conversation bubbles blank so that my favorite style of restaurants can be added in. For example, Pizza, Chinese, etc. |

| Here is where my metal place setting embellishment was added. Isn't it cute? I found these in the miniature section at my local scrapbook store. I wanted to add some depth to the project by not just useing paper images. |

| This is what the back of the holder looks like when fully opened. |

| I didn't adhere the tops of the recipe note cards so that they formed pockets where gift or business cards could be added. |

| I adhered the 8 1/4" piece of card stock to the note pad and added the 3/4" x 3" of dsp to the bottom front. I then added the image and the button. I also added a lined image to the back middle for additional phone numbers. |
