Life's a Beach ~ Cricut FANatics Post

Hi Everyone.  Today is my first post on the new Cricut inspired blog Cricut FANatics.  We were challenged to create something with an "end of summer" theme this month.  For my post, I created a 3D photo frame to display a favorite summer picture in:

I used the Imagine cartridge Word of Mouth for my image cuts.  I cut them at 4.5" and selected the "layers" option.

Did you know that this cartridge has 3 different 3-D frames on it?  This is the first frame cut at "fit to page".

It's super easy to create.  Just cut, score at the provided lines and glue!  Note: If you flood fill an image with a different pattern, you will lose the provided scoring lines and will need to score at your discretion.  I used the provided pattern because it matched perfectly with my theme.  I also added a background mat cut at 4" x 5.5".
I pop dotted all the layers and of course, I added ribbon. I just LOVE ribbon!

I hope you enjoyed this post and are inspired to try one of these frames out.  They are super fun and easy and a lot less expensive then going to the store and buying one.  Hey, that's another great justification to hubby for buying cartridges...your saving money on frames, right? ;)
