Today is the last day in the Pin-up Girls Series. I created all of these cards as a birthday present for my bestie. She loves pin-up girls and I thought it would make a fun and unique gift.
The negligee is cut from the Cricut cartridge Sweethearts. I embossed the darker pink layer and sewed my pink ribbon on. I added a single seam binding ribbon in white and a white linen thread tie as well. |
To create the lace texture of the negligee, I cut it in pink cardstock, red cardstock, and pink vellum. I started with the pink cardstock and then added the red cardstock for the bra portion. Next, I embossed the pink vellum. When you emboss vellum, it creates a lot of texture because the raised portion turns lighter (even when using clear or white vellum). This technique really added to this cut because it really made it look like lace. I then sprayed the negligee with SmoochSpritz in a pearl finish and added mini Stampin' Up! pearls to the bra portion to complete the look. |
If you are wondering where I purchased the pin-up girl pins, I bought them on EBAY:
