Too sweet to handle ~ My Pink Stamper Monthly DT Post, August 2011

Have an upcoming baby shower to attend?  Maybe a new baby in the family?  Well, here is a card you can easily recreate:

Materials Used:
  • Sugar and Spice Cricut Lite cartridge
  • DCWV Animal crackers stack
  • Stampin' Up cardstock in Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White and Chocolate Chip
  • My Pink Stamper Sweet Goodness stamp set
  • Stampin' Up Pink Pirouette 5/8" grosgrain ribbon striped
  • Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip ink pad
  • Stampin' Up Glimmer Basics brads
  • Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder
I used my Gypsy to weld the scallop shape to create a card base.  I then cut the circle layer twice, one for the card front and one for the inside. I inked all the edges of the layers, except the white, in Chocolate Chip ink and began to assemble.  I embossed the rattle's scallop with the Cuttlebug folder Swiss dots and then pop dotted it and it's layer to the rattle base.  I then attached the paper ribbon with one brad and a glue dot.  I wanted the paper ribbon to look loose and not be entirely glued down to the card.  I stamped the sentiment "Too sweet to handle" from My Pink Stamper's Sweet Goodness set.  Lastly, I wove the SU ribbon through the scallop of the card front.  I thought my use of the sentiment showed the versatility of the stamp set and that it does not have to be solely used for candy or food.

You can order the Sweet Goodness My Pink Stamper stamp set from hereAnd enjoy the rest of the designer's projects here.

I am including my Gypsy file for even easier scraplifting!  ;)  Enjoy:
